Randstad Federal is seeking an AI Governance Analyst in support of a program at IRS
location: Frederick, Maryland
job type: Contract
salary: $70 - 80 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Ethics/AI Governance Subject Matter Expert to join our team working on a large-scale enterprise platform project. The ideal candidate will ensure responsible and ethical implementation of AI technologies while maintaining compliance with federal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with AI and ML teams to ensure ethical considerations are integrated into AI system design and implementation
Develop and maintain AI governance frameworks and policies aligned with federal guidelines and industry best practices
Conduct ethical risk assessments for AI implementations, identifying potential issues and proposing mitigation strategies
Work closely with the Security Lead and cybersecurity teams to secure necessary approvals for AI implementations
Partner with the Solution/AI Architect to embed ethical considerations into the overall AI strategy and architecture
Provide guidance on responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI decision-making processes
Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure ethical considerations are addressed throughout the project lifecycle
Contribute to the development of KPIs and metrics that incorporate ethical AI performance measures
Educate team members and stakeholders on AI ethics and governance principles
Required Skills and Experience:
Extensive knowledge of AI ethics and governance frameworks, particularly in federal environments
strong understanding of AI and machine learning technologies and their ethical implications
Experience in developing and implementing AI governance policies and procedures
Familiarity with federal compliance requirements related to AI implementation
strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex ethical dilemmas
Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex ethical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Background in technology ethics, philosophy, law, or related fields
Knowledge of data privacy regulations and their intersection with AI governance
