The Headlines:
In the role of Leadership/Payroll Coordinator, working in Chilliwack, BC, you will be part of the Fraser Valley Brewery HR Team. You will be responsible for the administrative support of all departments within the brewery.
This position reports to the HR Manager and works closely with the General Manager, department managers and supervisors.
The Responsibilities:
Own weekly hourly payroll administration by processing for all unionized employees (DAR entry, discrepancy resolution, batching) while adhering to applicable payroll best practices, tax and CRA requirements, and applicable CBAs.
Create weekly manpower schedules (union) in Dayforce for all departments. Ensuring all schedules are compliant with relevant collective agreements.
Manage and maintain supplies and equipment (e.g. office, PPE and First Aid supplies).
Manage and track attendance, vacation, work orders.
Manage reports including but not limited to seniority and timesheets and create system generated reports for presentation to departmental and brewery leadership.
Perform data entry (Training Matrix, Ivara, change over sheets, OPLs and departmental procedures).
Manage employee sick time and administrative tasks as associated with WI, LTD claims for hourly personnel.
Filter, prepare and respond to various requests for information from external sources or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source.
Plan and organize meetings and events, manage room and meeting bookings, order food for , take minutes, plan, schedule, and create office communications.
The Other Qualifications:
You have a high school diploma.
You have at least 2 years of administrative experience and experience executing tasks within office management and payroll systems (Dayforce, Ceridian and/or Kronos).
You are proficient in MS Office Suite.
You exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills.
You have experience analyzing information and optimizing processes.
You maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive data in a professional manner.
You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships.
You love a challenge. You navigate ambiguity and complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of business priorities.
