Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$130,400.00 - $215,200.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Plans at a strategic/tactical level and manages the effective use of resources and directs staff to design, develop, maintain, and implement major, highly complex IS Security related system(s) and/or project(s) supporting cross-enterprise business and/or technology areas. Has a significant role in the creation of strategic technology plans. Manages multiple engagements with enterprise-wide business significance.

What Will You Do?

  • Okta SME that understands Okta best practices and Okta platform configuration/ capabilities.

  • Supports all AIPP SCRUM teams when making design decisions utilizing Okta or troubleshooting any production issues.

  • Supports cross-LoB needs to create and maintain Okta credentials and authorizations for any applications and APIs using external Okta.

  • Okta configuration for Travelers external will be separate from the development team making code changes (Auditable separation of duties).

  • Lead team of Okta engineers (who will create configurations, troubleshoot/resolve issues).

  • Partners with DE architecture and Cybersecurity Architecture to recommend and promote patterns to secure access to Travelers resources and to protect customer identity data.

  • Propose/recommend strategy to identify and address security concerns related to identity and access management.

  • Advocate to develop or redesign technology solutions that protect company and client assets consistent with legal and company policy requirements.

  • Participate/lead in strategic planning/roadmap creation for team.

  • May directly manage the configuration, testing, documentation and implementation of upgrades to security processes, controls or products as directed.

  • May directly manage operational support and maintenance of Security related processes, controls or products.

  • Understands and has input to the budget process, and shares responsibility for cost-effective expense control of assigned projects.

  • May directly manage operational support and maintenance of Security related processes, controls or products.

  • May directly manage the configuration, testing, documentation and implementation of upgrades to security processes, controls or products as directed.

  • Leads activities or team(s) to resolve situations involving improper attempts to access or infiltrate our networks.

  • Proposed/evaluate/recommend purchases and/or licensed software products to identify and address security exposures.

  • Lead Security and enterprise projects as assigned.

  • Lead strategic planning/roadmap creation for team.

  • Represents Access and Identity circle at design and new technology meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline preferred.

  • Nine years of relevant experience with Cybersecurity practices, processes, and Cybersecurity event investigation/resolution preferred.

  • Five years of experience managing others and/or technical teams preferred.

  • Two years of experience in OKTA administration

  • Broad knowledge of all IT related technologies with subject matter expertise in IT Security related technology and business exposures impacting organizational vitality preferred.

  • Experience leading organizational change preferred.

What is a Must Have?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Seven years of experience in Computer Science or a related field required.

  • Two years of experience managing others and/or technical teams required.
