LPX Inc. and Subsidaries PACE -Pipe Layer in Frankfort, Kentucky

Purpose

The PACE Pipe Layer is responsible for safely performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform manual work in preparing surfaces for pipe work.

  • May operate a variety of hand and power tools.

  • Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.

  • Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials.

  • Maintain a clean job site, pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.

  • Perform materials handling and storage, load and unload trucks and hauls and hoists materials.

    Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in construction work or an equivalent preferred.

  • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work preferred.

    Skills and Specifications

  • Experience cutting pipe to jobsite specifications.

  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in a team environment.
