Humana Manager, Product Management in Frankfort, Kentucky

Humana is rapidly evolving from an insurance company with elements of health to a healthcare company with elements of insurance. We are embarking on an ambitious journey to implement a new Enrollment Platform and further our evolution towards a customer-centric operating model. As a member of the Enrollment Product team, you will help us transform our enrollment process and ensure the highest level of care for our members. This team will have a large focus on technology modernization, but also a focus on business functionality, culture, and operations - to embrace modern cloud-based technologies and engineering, Agile methodologies, DevOps, and a culture that is focused on enterprise leadership, our members, and associates.

The Manager, Product Management will lead a team of 8-10 Product Owners and is responsible for their coaching and development while ensuring best practices are met throughout Enrollment ART as well as the broader Membership and Plan Services Product organization.

The Manager, Product Management will lead operations, is accountable for understanding pain points and challenges, and will drive to reduce impediments in order to build a more engaged and efficient product organization. Will analyze metrics/data, gather insights, and report across the Enrollment portfolio to ensure a value centric approach to delivery is established. Ensures proper staffing to meet the expanding needs of the Enrollment ART and leads special projects and programs impacting the Product Organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences/engineering or minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

  • At least 4 years of experience leading, coaching and developing others

  • Minimum of 3 years of overall professional experience in product management

  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle from inception to execution to launch to scale

  • Strong analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills enabling sound decision making

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience with influencing and leading leaders driving high performing teams

  • Demonstrated success of driving results through OKR management

  • Strong understanding of business strategy and demonstrating delivery of strategy

  • Enthusiasm, positive bend, and self-motivation is essential; a confident change-agent.

  • Strong presentation skills (oral and written)

Work-At-Home Information

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$123,800 - $170,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
