Job: School Social Worker
Grade: 5th - 8th Grade, Middle School
Employment Type: Full-time (5 days per week)
Location: Fox River Grove, IL 60021
Duration: Through December 20, 2023, with potential for extension
Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (flexible if needed)
Pay: $48.70/hr-$56.82/hr
AnthroMed is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of middle school students (grades 5-8). Since the year has started, this school has noticed a pressing need for additional support, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic educational environment. Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students, focusing on social-emotional skills, conflict resolution, and coping strategies.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement interventions for students displaying challenging behaviors.
Assist in the development of Tier 1 behavioral support strategies, fostering a positive school climate.
Address critical behavioral issues.
Support students in crisis situations, providing immediate assistance and developing plans for ongoing support.
Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and collaborate with the district’s BCBA and other support staff.
Optionally manage a caseload of students, providing targeted interventions and follow-up as needed.
Facilitate workshops and training for staff on mental health topics and effective strategies for addressing student behaviors.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
