Tyler Houk (Practice Director) is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Fowler, California, in the agriculture industry. This role is fundamental to our financial health, where the incumbent will be responsible for managing accounts, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting strategic planning through budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial accounting aspects, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

• Utilize QuickBooks software to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing valuable input for strategic planning.

• Monitor and manage cash flow and banking relationships, including bank statement reconciliation.

• Collaborate with an external CPA for tax preparation, audits, and financial reviews.

• Generate and present financial reports, offering insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.

• Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's financial assets.

• Handle any other financial-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the agriculture industry.

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries.

• Competent in Microsoft Excel and its applications in accounting.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification would be a plus.

• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must demonstrate high level of integrity and ethical standards.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Good problem-solving skills and proactive in finding solutions.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
