BUNZL Screen Print Machine Operator in Fountain Valley, California

Description

Kishigo, a leader in safety gear and a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Screen Print Machine Operator. The Screen Print Machine Operator produces screened goods on polyesters, polyester/cotton blends and modacrylic garments with attention to detail and high quality standards. This position is responsible for preparing and setting up orders to print (multi-colors) on cut pieces and finished goods from start to finish.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Position garments against guides

  • Load screens into the printer

  • Calibrate printer before the batch is to be printed

  • Pour paint into screen frame and draw squeegee across screen to transfer design to object

  • Register orders with multicolor

  • Mix paint according to standard formulas

  • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently

  • Use various hand and pneumatic tools, operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care

  • Take accountability on all work orders assigned

  • Examine all details in the logo work orders; identify any orders with discrepancies in quantity, style, artwork, color, positions of logo, sizing issues and report to all pertinent parties before processing order

Requirements:

  • Previous screen printing experience

  • 2 years of production experience in manual and auto press operation

  • Must be responsible and able to work in a team environment

  • Active learning and listening skills

  • Good communication skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in screen printing

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours or more per day per shift

  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

  • Capable of reading and understanding production documents like logo work orders and safety manuals

Kishigo salary range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience, education and geographic location. For applicants that do not have direct experience in the field, the company may work with a temporary agency during the training period, prior to hire.
