BUNZL Digital Transfer Printer Operator in Fountain Valley, California

Description

Kishigo, a leader in safety gear and a division of Bunzl, is seeking a Digital Transfer Printer Operator. The Digital Transfer Printer Operator produces screened goods on polyesters, polyester/cotton blends and modacrylic garments with attention to detail and high quality standards. This position is responsible for preparing and setting up orders to print (multi-colors) on cut pieces and finished goods from start to finish.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review work orders

  • Daily checks of nozzle, film alignment, ink reservoirs and powder adhesive levels

  • Check queue for incoming art files to print

  • Do a test run to check Pantone colors and match with Pantone book

  • Verify that print sizes are correct

  • Monitor room temperature optimal prints

  • Cut all heat transfers by order and give to production team

  • Final machine clean up at end of shift

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of digital printing experience and machine maintenance

  • Graphic design experience preferred

  • Proficiency with standard technologies associated with printing

  • Proficiency with machine maintenance operation.

  • Active learning and listening skills

  • Good communication skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours or more per day per shift

Kishigo salary range: $16.00-$18.00 per hour based on experience, education and geographic location. For applicants that do not have direct experience in the field, the company may work with a temporary agency during the training period, prior to hire.
