Our client, an industry leading automotive supplier, is seeking a Mold Set-Up Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring injection molding machines are properly set-up and running in order to meet production goals.

Job Title: Mold Set-Up Technician

Location: Fountain Inn, SC

What’s the Job?

• Make necessary connections of the electrical, hydraulic and cooling systems to the mold

• Ensure that the correct plastic material, plastic melt temperatures, shot size, injection speed and pressures are set

• Cycle the machine and adjust the molding parameters until acceptable parts are produced.

• Change tools per schedule and/or leadership direction in a safe and efficient manner utilizing established crane and Lock-out Tag-out procedures.

• Ensure established Mold Setting processes are followed. Sets up equipment based on mold requirements, materials, and tolerances.

What’s Needed?

• Minimum 3 Years of Experience with injection molding.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Thorough understanding of machinery and fixtures.

• 3 months mold change experience, preferably injection molding.
