**
Summary:
Body Shop Painter Technician provide quality paint work that meets standards of all makes and models. In this position the duties range from scuffing parts, prepping, masking off, painting vehicles to nibbing and buffing panels.
*Reports To: *Body Shop Manager
Job Duties:
- Remove parts from packaging and inspecting for quality/
- Preparing vehicle and parts prior to painting.
- Mix and match paint colors to vehicle's code correctly.
- Sanding and buffing vehicles and parts following painting.
- Follows Dealership safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Review Estimate to ensure all parts are painted.
- Inspect all repaired panels, repaired work, seam seals, welded areas, has all inner welds been seam sealed and primed.
- Check for pin stripes to be able to match and apply
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- ICAR certifications preferred but not required
- ASC certification preferred but not required
- 2+ years' experience in structural repair, non-structural repair, welding & cutting, estimating, plastic repair, and/or refinishing
- Very detail oriented
- Proficient use of power tools relating to body shop work
- Experience using power tools and equipment consistent with industry standards
- Lifting up to 70 lbs.
