Job Description

The Role

Due to a healthy pipeline of work, our Brisbane team are looking for an Associate Director (Mechanical) to join our Building Services Team.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements on health, defence, transport and other building projects across ANZ.

  • Lead Mechanical design and project delivery for our major client projects including the technical review of projects. Foster and build relationships with clients securing a strong pipeline of work.

  • Work effectively within a team of multi-disciplinary engineers on a range of projects, using your technical expertise to produce comprehensive documentation and drive quality through review of design calculations, specifications, models and drawings.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers within the business when preparing technical design documentation.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Ideally, 15+ years’ experience working for a Building Services consultancy or have significant design experience within the Mechanical Contracting field, with RPEQ qualification or Chartership with a relevant professional body.

  • A proven record in technical design and project delivery whilst maintaining and enhancing client relationships.

  • In-depth understanding of Building Services projects and Standards to impart your technical knowledge to clients, junior engineers and broader teams on a range of major projects.

  • Exposure to running multiple technical projects simultaneously with demonstrable design experience across a variety of market sectors.

  • Work with other senior leaders across the business to actively participate in bids and tenders.

  • Excellent communication and people skills with the passion and ability to mentor and train younger Engineers within the business.

  • Drive quality, innovation and efficiency improvements within the team.
