Our client is seeking a Technical Coach. The Technical Coach elevates the client's engineering capabilities, practices, and architecture to enable faster, more reliable software delivery while maintaining a strict focus on business outcomes.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $115 - $125 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Assess current technical practices and identify specific improvement opportunities
Coach developers, architects, and engineering leaders on modern software engineering practices
Help teams implement effective technical metrics aligned with business goals
Guide teams in adopting improved practices within the client's existing technical environment
Collaborate with Product Coaches to ensure technical approaches support product objectives
Provide regular progress updates and evidence of impact to the Transformation Consultant
Tailor coaching to meet teams at their current capability level
Experience Requirements:
The Technical Coach brings deep expertise in software engineering excellence including architecture patterns, test automation, continuous integration/deployment, code quality, DevOps practices, and technical debt management. They understand how to practically apply these concepts within the constraints of the client's technology ecosystem.
This role drives measurable improvements in:
· Delivery speed and predictability
· Software quality and reliability
· System architecture and technical debt
· Engineering team capabilities and practices
· Operational efficiency and infrastructure utilization
Accountability Focus includes but not limited to:
Technical Coaches are accountable for specific, measurable improvements in engineering capabilities and outcomes. They work within the client's technical metrics framework, demonstrating clear ROI for coaching efforts through regular assessment and reporting of progress against agreed targets. Their focus remains on business value creation rather than implementing practices for their own sake.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
