Job Summary and Qualifications

Speech Therapists performs assessments, establishes goals, performs therapy, assess progress and modifies treatment plan and goals. Each an everyday our SLPs strive to meet the patient’s needs in an efficient, productive manner and within the guidelines of the Speech/Language Pathology Practice Act and the American Speech/Language-Hearing Association’s Standards for Practice and Code of Ethics. Our therapists are passionate about setting the standard for patient-centered healthcare.

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • You will take all appropriate measures to ensure the safety of the patient.

  • You will provide individualized, goal-directed care with ongoing education, training, and emotional support to foster a partnership with the patient, family and significant others.

  • You will communicate pertinent payor needs requirements to patient, patient family, treatment team and physician.

  • You will assist the Therapy Manager and departmental Supervisor with daily departmental operations and any additional activities as assigned.

  • You will effectively communicate with and supervise clinical fellows.

  • You will serve as a healthcare advocate in monitoring and promoting quality health care and services for the patients served.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Master's Degree (M.A. or M.S) in Speech Language Pathology required.

  • Current Texas license in Speech Language Pathology required.

  • Certificate from American Speech Language & Hearing Association (ASHA) required.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

  • QI Care Tool Credentialing (Inpatient Rehab Staff) required within 90 days of start date.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
