Texas Health Resources Registered Nurse (RN)Neurosurgical Dept - Part Time Nights in Fort Worth, Texas

Fast-paced, high volume neuro surgical department is looking for top skilled nurses for our unit. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: Part Time7:00 pm – 7:00 am- Rotating Weekends/Holidays

Department highlights:

· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

· 36-bed Neurosurgical Unit

· The neurosurgical team provides care to the patient population with Neurosurgical, elective spine, cervical and lumbar surgeries, Brain tumor patients, cranial hemorrhage patients just out of ICU and back up stroke unit- this unit may also have some remote tele patients

· MAGNET facility

· Level I Trauma Center

· Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred

· Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

· BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

· CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire required

· NIHSS -National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days of hire required

· 1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.

· Current neuro surgical RN experience strongly preferred

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

· demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

· maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

· possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

· have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
