Registered Nurse (RN) Part-Time Nights – Mother Baby for Texas Health Alliance

Work hours: Part-time nights, 24 hours weekly, 2-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Mother/Baby Unit Department highlights:

  • Texas Health Alliance is a Baby-friendly and Texas 10-step designated facility.

  • 40-bed Postpartum/Newborn, couplet care

  • Average between 160 to170 deliveries per month and increasing volume

  • 12-bed NICU/Neonatal ICU

  • 4 OB/ED bays

  • 14-bed LDR’s

  • 2 OR suites

Texas Health Alliance is a 151-bed, full-service hospital serving our community since 2012. Our location in North Fort Worth provides convenient care to people in North Fort Worth, Keller, North Richland Hills, Haslet, Roanoke and surrounding areas.

We’re Joint Commission-accredited with a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Plus, we’re a Baby Friendly Facility and Pathways to Excellence designated hospital. We are also a Joint Commission Acute Heart Attack Ready (AHAR) Disease specific certified. We provide wellness services, outpatient surgery and women’s imaging services and are a top choice in North Fort Worth for radiology services and much more.

Here’s What You Need

· Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

· NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire

· NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire

· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 Days of hire

· 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req

· 1 year of Mother Baby/Antepartum experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
