Position Overview: We're seeking a Screening Plant Mechanic to oversee the operation and maintenance of screening plants. Join our team to ensure optimal equipment performance in our mining and composting operations. Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on screening plant equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and develop repair solutions.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation.

• Conduct equipment testing and manage spare parts inventory.

• Train and collaborate with team members to optimize plant operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum 10 years of screening plant operation and maintenance experience.

• strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

• Certifications in screening plant operation and maintenance.

• Experience in the construction industry and maintenance planning.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate heavy equipment.

• Work in outdoor conditions, including exposure to dust and dirt.

Pay Range: $25 - $35 per hour.

Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on screening plant equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and develop effective repair solutions.

• Replace worn or damaged components and conduct preventive maintenance. Troubleshooting:

• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, collaborating with colleagues for resolution. Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the team. Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and provide detailed reports. Equipment Testing:

• Conduct testing and quality checks, making adjustments as necessary. Parts Management:

• Order and maintain spare parts inventory, collaborating with procurement. Training and Collaboration:

• Train and mentor junior mechanics and collaborate with other departments to optimize operations.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
