Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer Staff for Armament. Applicant will be working in the Armament and SMS Functional Team, supporting F-16, F-22, and F-35 platforms. The team has the overall design, development, testing and integration responsibility for a number of mechanical and structural components. These include Alternate Mission Equipment (which consists of pylons, adapters, launchers, and other selected hardware), Suspension and Release Equipment (which consists of very high pressure pneumatic ejection systems), Gun Systems (both internal and missionized) and the Stores Management System. Responsibilities will include production and field support of team equipment through failure investigations and generation of sustainment documentation such as troubleshooting and repair guides. Additional responsibilities will include design of Alternate Mission Equipment Components using CATIA V5 and other 3D modeling tools as required to develop Build-to-Print packages.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Mechanical Engineering process and analysis. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree

- Aerospace engineering related experience

- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or equivalent

- Computerized drafting experience

Desired Skills:

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and to understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing notations

- Highly motivated individual with the ability to formulate logical approaches to resolving technical problems and manage multiple tasks concurrently

- Hardware design experience

- Ability to work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers

- Microsoft Office Skills; of particular importance: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
