Lockheed Martin Lab Operations Engineer, second shift - level 2 in Fort Worth, Texas

You will be the Lab Operations Engineer for the Simulation & System Labs (SSL) team. Our team is responsible for Simulation & System Labs (SSL) lab systems in the 5GI ADP Labs.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsible for providing operational technical support for LM Aero Fort Worth Simulation & System Labs (SSL) lab systems in the 5GI ADP Labs.

You will support the day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration management and support of systems test/simulation host computers, projection and display systems, cockpit hardware, electronic interfaces and mechanical assemblies. You will focus on the support and maintenance activities within the 5GI Integration Labs supporting a possible 18/5 test schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• System integration/checkout/test

• Modifications

• Troubleshooting

• Visual display systems color tuning and alignment

• Network connectivity support

• System/facility security duties

• Asset management

• Manage, participate in, or run tests

You will work with other engineers, customers, and vendors as a team to efficiently support system integration, scheduled events, maintain equipment, support configuration management, and comply with applicable security policies and procedures. May also be required to coordinate the resolution of facilities maintenance and lab scheduling issues.

This position is for a fulltime 4/10 A 2nd shift position (Monday-Thursday).

This position also requires that this individual be able to walk up and down stairs and ladders and also be able to lift/carry lab equipment/assets of up to 50 lbs.

Fort Worth, TX

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline OR 3+ years of relevant experience

• Experience in operating and maintaining electronic equipment.

• Experienced with configuration control, inventory, and/or working in a lab setting.

Desired Skills:

• Direct experience supporting or knowledge of development laboratories and real-time simulation environments is highly desired.

• Experience with aircraft hardware, electronic interfaces, projection/display systems, audio systems, and/or mechanical assemblies.

• Experienced in troubleshooting and operating Avionics equipment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
