Inventory Control Technician

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway Fort Worth TX 76132

  • Work environment: Supply Chain Management

  • Work hours: Full Time (40 hours) Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3:00PM

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff. The hospital is Magnet-designated , a designated UnitedHealth Premium Surgical Spine specialty center and has earned Quality Respiratory Care Recognition from the AARC.

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required

Experience

1 Year Materials or hospital experience required

1 Year Surgical experience preferred

Position Responsibilities

  • Daily review of inventory locations. Review and maintain inventory locations including par levels, troubleshooting, stock-outs, trends, patient billable items, expiration dates/rotations, cleaning, training for new users. Work with Nurse Managers, etc. regarding any inventory issues/concerns.

  • Support department for new supply requests including the research of new products to be used.

  • Conduct full inventories of par units ensuring supply accuracy.

  • Provide daily replenishment reports and picking feedback.

  • Train new users and work with clinical leadership ensuring compliance with purchasing policies. Support Materials department staff and ensure adequate coverage to maintain inventory levels.

  • Ensure recalls, warranties, etc. are handled per Regulatory Agencies requirements always prepared for OIG audits.

  • Other duties as assigned.
