Lead, Maintenance Mechanic

Shift: 3rd, Friday – Sunday, 7am – 7:30pm

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

This role serves as technical "go to" point of contact for maintenance management to keep facility running at peak efficiency. Contributes to continuous improvement of maintenance methods and processes, working with other functions (e.g., maintenance/ engineers). This role acts as a liaison in maintenance to help support internal/ VF safety regulations, conformance of company policies, multi-agency compliance, and maintenance recordkeeping as well as point of contact for parts, requests, and work in progress.

How you will do it:

By effectively maintaining a work assignments, work schedules related to compliance records, projects work orders, and maintenance programs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). By leveraging the CMMS program, one will be expected to manage all work orders, analyst and produce progress reports or ad hoc daily status reports. Also, this person will maintain inventory accuracy to department’s high standard levels and will provide routine administrative support for maintenance procurement of supplies.

What success looks like:

Success will be measured by ensuring compliance of entire facility utilizing established internal control procedures. In addition, continuous development and stimulating process improvement and techniques for equipment and facility. Success is predicated on ability to coordinate and communicate with site personnel inside and outside the department to track, execute, and report on all ongoing projects.

Skills for Success

  • Must be able to follow guidelines, Project Management process, and CMMS

  • They must maintain knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety policies, maintenance process, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), sanitation rules, regulations, and company policies

  • Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Computer literacy and MS Office experience (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and vendors

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Educational Position Requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know:

Must have experience with a formal CMMS system managing work orders, projects, inventory, and ability to create quality reports that update maintenance teams and other facility personnel on project status and new job processes, according to performance standards. This person must be technically savvy in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook) and they must have experience in ensuring regular and reoccurring regulatory compliance audits are completed and records documented.

  • Need to be qualified on any equipment deemed important to job functionality

  • Able to present solution to various issues or situation

Hiring Range :

$61,600.00 USD - $77,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
