As a Counterintelligence Analyst you will play a critical role in safeguarding Bell’s People, Property, and Technology.You will use specialized analytical tools and techniques to identify, assess, catalog, and disseminate threat information.This information is then used to advise decision-makers and stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions to protect Bell assets and interests.

What You’ll be Doing as a Counterintelligence Analyst

In support of the Bell Global Security team’s mission to protect vital assets present in the Bell enterprise Supply Chain, Legal, Facilities, Information Technology, Finance, Military, and Commercial Programs, the Counterintelligence Analyst will:

  • Perform Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection to identify threat information that may be gleaned from social media, chat forums, darknet, TOR network, news feeds, internet relay chats, and other sources of data available on the Internet.This information will focus on external threats posed to Bell assets by foreign state and non-state actors as well as domestic competitors and extremists, including: intelligence collection, theft of intellectual property, terrorism, sabotage, subversion, cybercrime, counterfeit goods, and workplace violence.

  • Perform analysis on the data you collected, incorporating other products (typically classified products provided by the U.S. government) when possible and appropriate, in order to identify the most critical and reliable data information possible so that countermeasures may be developed, and/or identify opportunities for investigative actions by other elements.Therefore, this analysis will strive to identify locations, accounts, services, email addresses, IP addresses, and other patterns of life data to determine physical attribution of an internet identity or persona.

  • Document the results of your OSINT collection efforts, specifically, the steps taken, the data sources utilized, the methods of analysis, and any anomalies or concerns regarding the collection techniques and activity, then create analytical products delineating the conclusions drawn via your analysis and deliver them to various levels of Bell leadership.

  • Understand and abide by all legal and privacy considerations relating to OSINT collection and analysis, including collection techniques, data retention at Bell, and data dissemination, both with internal Bell customers and with U.S. Government counterintelligence and law enforcement entities.

  • Will be expected to travel to other locations as required, up to 10%, for training and mission support purposes.

Skills You Bring to this Role

  • Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapon system's life cycle; acquisition Intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of DoD research laboratories, acquisition program offices, and life-cycle management, sustainment, and system testing enterprises.

  • Advanced understanding of the methods used by hostile cyber-elements to conceal their identities and activities on the Internet, how they conduct illicit online business, and the various marketplaces and forums they operate in.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior-level audiences for decision-making purposes.

  • The ability to effectively manage one’s time and prioritize assigned responsibilities to meet mission requirements on schedule.

  • Assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and competing resources, based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively.

What You Need to be Successful

  • 6 years of experience in an intelligence discipline or related environment is required (e.g., all source analysis, Counterintelligence (CI), human intelligence (HUMINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), measurement and signatures intelligence (MASINT), open-source intelligence (OSINT)).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level DoD Security Clearance is required.

  • Proficiency in the analytic employment of computer-based analysis or query tools in an intelligence setting is preferred, particularly Dataminr and/or others such as Palantir, Analyst Notebook, Multi-media Message Manager (M3), CHROME, HOTR, SILO, PRISM, Intelink / Intellipedia, CIAWire, NSANet, LexisNexis,or idiCORE.

  • Completion of OS301 Basic OSINT Course, OS302 Intermediate OSINT Tools and Tradecraft Course and OS303 Advanced OSINT Tradecraft Course or equivalent preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of industry practices, advanced techniques and solutions within a professional discipline to develop new standards, processes, and solutions.

  • Working knowledge of cyber threat intelligence terminology, key concepts, analysis, and using cyber intelligence tools and software tools to actively search and mine the publicly available Internet and the darknet/deep web.
