Job Description
Responsibilities
Screens for treatment and non-treatment trials as appropriate. Performs study assigned tests as appropriate (i.e. ECGs, etc.). Participates in subject follow-up activities including visits and phone calls as appropriate. Communicates protocol specific requirements to the research team and ancillary department teams. Registers participants as required by study upon verification of completed consent and eligibility requirements.
Communicates effectively and professionally with patients/participants, investigators, Medical Center/System departments, study sponsors, and RAO team members. Maintains confidentiality of patient information as well as protected sponsor information. Prepares information as requested by individual teams. Ensures effective verbal/written communication occurs with RAO team members for subject/study information transfer for hand off in study coverage.
Documents and updates study activities in designated study management tools and medical record with accuracy, legibility, completeness, verifiability, and timeliness. Maintains up-to-date awareness of protocols and regulatory expectations. Collaborates with team to ensure maintenance and entry of data for all trials. Responds to queries appropriately and timely. Develops tools as needed for optimal information tracking and reporting.
Assists with weekly prep for all team designated clinical trials. Assists with special projects and other research related activities as designated by Research Operations administration.
Coordinates schedule of visits and is available for sponsor monitors or other auditors. Participates as required on site audits including internal RAO audits, CCHCS internal compliance audits, sponsor monitoring visits or audits, or other governmental audits.
Participates in continuing education to maintain professional and technical knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of research experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e. a high school degree and 6 years of relevant research experience or an associate's degree with 4 years of experience).
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Knowledge of the principles of clinical research and federal regulations required.
Competency in basic computer skills required – word processing, spreadsheets.
Excellent written, oral, and team communication skills are essential.
Attention to detail, organization, and self-motivation required.
Clinical Research Certification required.
BLS required.
PALS recommended.
Work Environment
This position is based in a children's hospital where the CRN will interact with patients and families considering clinical trials. The team-oriented culture emphasizes collaboration and unity. The work hours are flexible, with coverage needed from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Employees have the option to start at 7:30, 8:00, or 9:00 AM, and every two weeks, they earn one day off, which contract employees may also enjoy based on training progress. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $42.00
