Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac PCU – Charge RN, Full-time Nights
We’re looking for a qualified Registered Nurse like you to join our department in a Charge Nurse role
· Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104
· Work environment: Cardiac PCU
· Work hours: Full-time, Night shift

25-bed Cardiac PCU, Nurse: Patient ratio 1:3
Silver Beacon unit that provides an intermediate level of care to a wide variety of cardiac-medical patients
MAGNET facility
Level I Trauma Center
Primary Heart Attack Center PHAC
Comprehensive Cardiac Center

Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
Here’s what you need
Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire
1-year experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required
2-years’ experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting preferred
Current Cardiac PCU experience strongly preferred
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will
demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

As a Charge Nurse you will
communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team
support and actively participate in shared governance/councils
be committed to developing your individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.
evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
