JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Assistant will serve as a hybrid position with both direct patient care and registration components. They will assist in clinical duties such as taking/recording a patient’s history, preparing patients for treatments/procedures, assisting with in-office procedures, and taking vital signs prior to treatment. Registration tasks may include answering phones, assisting with scheduling, and paperwork for patients, or outside party correspondences. They also will act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor to maximize the doctor’s time with the patient

MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Licensure: N/A

Certification/Registration(s): BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred

Experience: 1 (one) year experience in MA role or Externship at Accredited MA Program in a physician’s office; prefer physician office/clinic experience preferred
