Adecco has a Direct Hire opportunity for a experienced Maintenance Technician in Fort Wayne, IN.
Shift: 3rd (train on 1st)
Pay: $25 - $28/hour + 15% shift premium
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician supports Operations and other plant functions by performing routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs to various machinery, equipment and buildings. This position is based in a highly technical manufacturing facility and requires strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, a high degree of flexibility, good communication skills, a desire to learn, and the ability to work in a safe manner.
Duties:
Follows appropriate safety practices when performing work on equipment (LOTO, PPE, Arc flash etc.)
Follows appropriate safety practices when using power and hand tools (welder, drills, saws, torque multipliers etc.)
Performs routine maintenance on machines, equipment and facility/grounds
Performs non-routine maintenance on machines, equipment and facility/grounds
Service, monitor, and maintain automated equipment, supporting devices, and factory equipment
Use gages and measuring instruments to verify and meet tolerance requirements.
Check operation of machine and troubleshoot mechanical and/or electrical problems and repair equipment using various tools and equipment, including but not limited to, digital multimeter, calipers, micrometers, hand and power tools.
Maintains records and updates in electronic database(s)
Drives and operates equipment such as scissor lifts, articulating lifts, forklifts, etc.
Manage spare parts inventory
Responsible for keeping area clean and complying with all safety rules and requirements.
Provide real time support regarding troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues
Collaborate with operations staff to fix and mitigate downtime event
Set up and sharpen blades for machines.
Qualifications/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant mechanical experience
- Troubleshooting and/or maintenance of industrial motors or motor controls
Metal Fabrication (Welding, Machining etc.)
Troubleshooting and/or maintenance of large industrial mechanical / electro-mechanical equipment
Troubleshooting and/or maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Basic PC Skills
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to demonstrate basic math skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Working knowledge of basic measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, micrometres or rulers
Ability to lift objects up to 75 pounds
Ability to perform multiple types of physical activities and work 12 hour shifts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, ERP systems
Previous experience using precision tools, machinery and equipment
Welding experience
Experience operating scissor lifts and/or forklifts
Ability to be a team player and contribute positivity to company culture
Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
