Berry Street | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | Job Description: | SUMMARY | | | | | | The incumbent assists full-time | | | staff maintaining the Botanical | | | Conservatory facilities and | | | grounds using materials and | | | methods as assigned. The | | | incumbent is expected to exercise | | | good judgment, independence, | | | initiative, and professional | | | expertise in conducting | | | day-to-day operations. All work | | | duties and activities must be | | | performed in accordance with the | | | City safety rules and operating | | | regulations, policies and | | | procedures as well as federal, | | | state, and local regulations. | | | | | | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND | | | RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the | | | ability to interact with the | | | public, City incumbents, and | | | outside agencies with patience, | | | tact, respect, and | | | professionalism and the | | | following. Other duties may be | | | assigned. | | | | | | - Assists with janitorial | | | maintenance, particularly | | | facility and restroom | | | cleaning | | | - Sets up and tears down tables | | | and chairs according to | | | drawings and/or verbal | | | instruction | | | - Responsibly and effectively | | | uses chemical agents such as | | | cleaning products | | | - Assists with snow removal | | | and/or picks up litter or | | | debris using safe handling | | | procedures | | | | | | MARGINAL FUNCTIONS | | | | | | - May occasionally assist with | | | providing basic plant care. | | | | | | PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS | | | | | | The incumbent is responsible to | | | manage their performance in | | | accordance with this job | | | description and the performance | | | expectations provided to them by | | | management.
