Insurance Program Manager – Sports Division

K&K Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Aon, has been recognized as the leading provider of sports, leisure, and entertainment insurance products.

We have an exciting leadership opportunity for a VP / Program Manager to join our K&K Sports Division.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and at our Fort Wayne, IN location.

What will your day look like

As the leader of this revenue producing unit this position is ultimately responsible for sales, underwriting, and servicing the clients in the various programs for the Sports division with responsibility for driving growth, retention and profit for the division.

As a member of K&K’s management team, performance includes demonstration of the following key accountabilities: strategic leadership, communication for the division, growth in revenue and acceptable underwriting results for the carrier.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the producing underwriting results acceptable to the risk partners.

  • Drive all sales activity within the division, working directly or indirectly with clients and brokers, and seek out and seize growth opportunities.

  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy for the current programs to increase submission and quote activity.

  • Collaborate with the chief underwriting office and chief claims officer to achieve division and company objectives.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of new products and programs, and improvement of current products to achieve profitable growth.

  • Hold the Division LOA along with the underwriting revenue.

  • Drive the profit and loss results of the division.

  • Responsible for the producing underwriting results acceptable to the risk partners.

  • Direct division underwriting personnel.

  • Depth and breadth of market, client, and product knowledge.

  • Proven strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Sales focus.

  • Underwriting expertise.

  • Management or supervisory experience.

    Requirements of the Position:

  • 7-10 years’ experience in specialty insurance industry, preferably in an underwriting leadership role.

  • Management experience

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
