Job Description:
SUMMARY
Working under the direction of the Manager - Salomon Farm Park, Outdoor Recreation and Boating, the incumbent supervises and facilitates the Franke Park Day Camp program. The incumbent assumes the responsibility for the care, supervision, and instruction of groups of youth (4 to 17 years old), greets public, and answers questions. The incumbent assists the Manager - Salomon Farm, Outdoor Recreation and Boating with ideas and suggestions for program development and improvement. The incumbent is expected to exercise good judgment, independence, initiative, and professional expertise in conducting day-to-day operations. All work duties and activities must be performed in accordance with the City safety rules and operating regulations, policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the ability to interact with the public, City incumbents, and outside agencies with patience, tact, respect, and professionalism and the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares and provides input for annual budget;
Provides input for the short- and long-term planning of Franke Park Day Camp operations and areas;
Designs informational brochures;
Supervises daily cleaning of day camp facilities;
Plans, organizes, and facilitates summer day camp program and all related events;
Prepares food in compliance with Board of Health guidelines;
Submit requisitions for employees;
Submits requisitions for all printing needs;
Designs, creates, and distributes awards for Advanc
