U.S. Army, Pacific Supervisory Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (Sexual Assault Response Workforce) in Fort Wainwright, Alaska

Summary About the Position: Directs a Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program for an organization. Serves as a principal authority, strategic advisor, and advocate for SHARP policies and programs; develops strategic plans and policies to support response and prevention elements of the sexual harassment/assault program and conducts assessments to ensure policy/program effectiveness; prioritizes victim care in cases of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and retaliatory behaviors. Responsibilities Provide updates to Lead SARC on the status of case management, victim advocacy, response, and personnel management of SARCs/VAs they supervise. Assist the Lead SARC in leading and facilitating monthly SARB and quarterly SART meetings. Ensure SARCs and the VAs they supervise are prepared discuss sexual assault case management and trends and issues for the SARB/quarterly SART. Assist the Lead SARC in ensuring all garrison, tenant, and mission SARCs and VAs across the installation are screened, trained, D-SAACP certified, and appointed to perform duties. Assist the Lead SARC in maintaining visibility and a record of every SHARP professional they supervise. Assist the Lead SARC with administrative operations to include hiring and training requirements for all SARCs and VAs they supervise. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying legal, regulatory, and program guidance to the management of sexual harassment/assault cases; coordinating the provision of care for victims through proactive assistance/advocacy efforts; implementation of prevention activities based on data analysis that promotes the reduction of sexual harassment/assault and associated retaliatory behaviors. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Leadership Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Strategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
