ArcBest Payroll Operations Coordinator III - ArcBest in Fort Smith, Arkansas

Currently, we are looking for a Payroll Operations Coordinator III to join the ArcBest team. The Payroll Operations Coordinator III - ArcBest processes wage payments, deductions, garnishments, and child support in Workday. This position's daily responsibilities are an on-going challenge due to the time-sensitive nature of processing various payroll schedules, taxes, and deductions. The Payroll Operations Coordinator provides analytical review to balance and control earnings and deduction totals. This position ensures time and attendance entries across the organization are timely for payroll processing and monthly accruals. The position will require some flexibility when working around payroll holiday schedules.

Your contribution may include:

  • Process new hires, wage increases, job classification changes, tax withholdings, and terminations in the Workday payroll system.

  • Assist in development and testing of Workday processes.

  • Administer Workday payroll processing and audits as well as Workday time and attendance systems.

  • Mail and distribute payrolls.

  • Review timecard/timesheet entries for hourly employees.

  • Issuance of off-cycle manual checks to employees as necessary.

  • Operate payroll controls and audits.

  • Reconcile payroll accounts.

  • Assist various departments with payroll related inquiries.

  • Maintain confidential information.

  • Perform regular audits of payroll hours and earnings.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources on employee’s Paid Time Off plans

  • Process wage garnishments, tax levies and child support Income withholding orders.

  • Manage special projects by preparing and maintaining project plans, addressing project challenges, and ensuring project tasks are completed.

  • Analyze, prepare, audit and input payroll data.

  • Assist with car allowance program and mobile device allowance program.

  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Payroll Operations Coordinator III, you will be a member of the ArcBest Payroll team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

Experience: Two years' experience in ArcBest Payroll or similar job function

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and 10-Key, required. Experience in Workday environment or comparable HCM platform.
