Army Installation Management Command Recreation Assistant (Outdoor) NF-02 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma

Summary This position is assigned to MWR, Community Recreation Division, and will be referred out to Recreation Equipment Rental and Sales. Additional applications will be referred as vacancies occur Responsibilities Works under general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as a Recreation Assistant. Instructs groups and individuals in a variety of outdoor recreation programs, such as but not limited to rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, challenge course. Incumbent is responsible for group management Must be familiar with all programs offered by Outdoor Recreation, as well as be familiar with local area as the position requires providing information to customers Teaches children as well as adults. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Must have knowledge of and experience in a wide variety of Outdoor Recreation pursuits. Applicants pursuing a degree in Recreation Management, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field, and in the process of completing an internship or fieldwork program will be considered highly qualified. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
