U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Program Manager in Fort Shafter, Hawaii

Summary About the Position: The desired work location is Fort Shafter, HI, but management may consider the position being filled remotely. Hours worked must be coincide with Hawaii business hours. Position will not be made permanent. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Responsibilities You will serve under the general direction of the Civil Works Division Chief with responsibilities for implementation and execution of the Civil Works Program within Pacific Ocean Division (POD) through a fully integrated program team. You will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and coordinating Civil Works Program development, management, and execution activities for the Division. You will have responsibility for planning, organizing, integrating, and directing Civil Works Program. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) formulating, defending, executing, and monitoring of the Civil Works Congressional budgets and work plans; 2) serving as a Civil Works program manager; 3) preparing, reviewing, and processing Civil Works legislative proposals, guidance, or reports; and 4) preparing/delivering high level briefs for Civil Works program management. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Project Management Vulnerabilities Assessment Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
