Summary About the Position: Serves as Program Manager for Command Counter Drug operations and Budget Administrator for Counter Transnational Threats Branch, Current Operations Division of the US Army South G3. Responsible for funding, coordinating and executing these funds in support of Army South's Exercise Together Forward Engagements. Identifies funding shortfalls and designs strategies to mitigate the shortfalls and risks. Responsibilities Prepare various statistical reports and budget information, obligation trends to determine fiscal requirements. Develop the Program Objective Memorandum for the Counter Drug Program for the annual program review meeting. Utilize budget database tools to analyze funding data for organizational requirements. Serve as certifying and approving official to control the use of appropriated funds. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing allocated funds and operating budgets to identify funding shortfalls, track expenditures to enable redistribution of funds as needed within budget accounts and conduct cost benefit analysis to monitor the obligations of funds. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Budget Administration Control of Funds Financial Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
