[Builders Supply is a family owned/operated business in NE Alabama that has been in business for over 60 years. We operate three lumberyards located in Fort Payne, Scottsboro, and Sylvania, Alabama. We have three other divisions that manufacture concrete blocks, roof and floor trusses, and wooden pallets and specialty crates. The two brothers that manage the business, George and Scott Weatherly, are focused on growth and how to better serve our customers on a daily basis. The majority of our customers are contractors or other businesses, so we focus on serving them better so they can be more efficient, effective and profitable.

**[Role Description

[The primary role of this position is to generate new business for our truss manufacturing operation and aid existing customers with their roof and floor truss needs. It will require prospecting for new customers, cold calling, and most of your time will be spent on the road outside of the office. The focus of the territory will roughly be within 60 miles of Fort Payne. The ideal candidate for this job will set goals and understand how to plan their day, week, and month to meet those goals.

• Call on existing customers and develop plans to increase sales with them.
• Develop and implement training for outside salespeople of existing customers.
• Prospect for new customers and build strategies to make them consistent customers.
• Cold call on prospective customers.
• Initiate and cultivate relationships with customers.
• Coordinate deliveries between customer and division manager.
• Communicate with the designer wants/needs of the customer and any changes to floorplans.
• Collaborate with the division manager to develop business strategies that grow our market share.
• Accurately measure foundations for truss design.
• Assist our outside salespeople by measuring the jobs of our existing customers when needed.
