The Heil Co Engineer Ill Electrical in Fort Payne, Alabama
Duties:
Create and execute design changes of varying degrees of complexity by ensuring that performance parameters are met while meeting quality target. Assist in the completion of engineering design projects, production support, troubleshooting, and continuous design improvements of products. Demonstrate commitment to Safety, lead by example. Apply and demonstrate engineering design-best-practices and value engineering during project development. Review and approve electrical design standards and specifications. Ensure design is in compliance with design criteria, standards and specifications as well as local codes and regulations. Perform analysis, evaluation, and modifications to all Refuge Vehicle wiring systems to support systemization and testing activities. Communicate with Teammates, Manufacturing Engineers, Field Service Technicians, and operators to determine functionality of Refuge Vehicle functionality. Make recommendations for installation procedures and requirements. Follow Project Management Process and Procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of work experience in Electrical Engineering.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following:
Experience with Refuse Trucks Electrical Diagnostics;
Experience with Technical Training;
Experience with Electrical Controls;
Experience with Refuse Vehicle;
Experience with FMVSS and ANSI rules pertaining to Electrical Systems and Vehicle Design;
Experience with J1939 Communications and J1455 recommended practices; and
Programming experience with any of the following PLCs: Continental Electronic Controls, Siemens, Allen Bradley, or IFM.
Telecommuting permitted up to 30%. Domestic travel required up to 5%.
