Summary About the Position: Serves as Division Chief of the Strategic Outreach Division. Guides the Director with responsibility for directing Department of Defense and Department of the Army (DoD and DA) Executive Agent responsibilities for all official Armed Forces and Army ceremonies and outreach in the National Capital Region (NCR) and within the United States and overseas. Serves as producer for outreach events including Twilight Tattoo and Army Birthday events. Responsibilities Develop the directorate budget. Provide input to Director on resource requirements and develops input to the organization 5-year Program Objective Memorandum (POM) for three sub-activity groups (SAG). Serve as or coordinates with Show Director for design, staging and integration of television and other social media and electronic enhancements. Prepare historical file of event to include film and photos. Serve in a supervisory capacity performing the full range of supervisory functions for the Directorate. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes collaborate detailed ceremony plans for the executive branch; Assist with the scripts and coordination with multiple agencies to obtain permits and permissions to ensure production execution; Coordinate all logistical and technical support required for the production and coordinate with public affairs to develop a marketing plan. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Adaptability Conscientiousness Creativity and Innovation Self-Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. The work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve prolonged periods of standing. Frequent travel within the National Capital Region is required. This position has been designated Key (2) and considered mission essential as work performed by the employee may directly bear on the functions, initiatives, and operations of the Installation and its agencies. The employee may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during severe weather or other installation closings or emergencies.
