Fort Madison Community School District Substitute Associate-Special Ed/General Ed in Fort Madison, Iowa
Hours:On Call
(Substitutes will select open substitute positions via the district TCP online system)
Pay Rate: Per Hour $13.90 special ed/ $11.75 general ed
Qualifications:The qualified applicant must have a minimum of;
- High school diploma or grade level equivalent diploma (GED) or
- Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education or
- Associate's (or higher) degree
Requirements Include but Not Limited To:
- Must have a basic understanding of math, reading, writing and computer skills
- Establish and maintain cooperative and supportive working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the work day
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others
- Attend work regularly and promptly
- Must be flexible
- Training with district staff
Responsibilities May Include:
- Assist teachers and students in classrooms and throughout the buildings
- Supervise and maintain discipline on the playground, in the lunchroom, classroom, and in common areas
- Follow directions of numerous teachers
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:Bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking.
