V2X SSMO Supervisor in Fort Liberty, North Carolina

The Supply Subsistence Management Office (SSMO) Supervisor reports to the Installation Supply and Services Division Manager and is responsible for overseeing the overall daily operations of the SSMO. This includes but is not limited to a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and subsistence management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in supply subsistence management.

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge in Field Feeding and Operational Ration Programs, ordering, receiving, storing, issuing and conducting required inventories of operational rations, supplements, ice, and bottled water; monitoring unit field accounts; and maintaining operational rations and bottled water stocks for contingencies.

  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the installation’s supply, services and equipment management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.

  • Additionally, intricate knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements.

  • Must possess operational skills and knowledge of the automated supply and service systems utilized and must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings

  • Responsible for posting to registers and ledgers.

  • Balance and reconcile accounts.

  • Notify COR and Manager of any issues or discrepancies.

  • Have a clear understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Must possess knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, and procedures or other written or verbal instructions relating to receipt and/or issue of stock or and should possess the ability to perform a range of standard and non-standard clerical assignments and resolve recurring problems.

  • Utilizes the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) automated system to process all transactions.

  • Must have access and knowledge of the Subsistence Total Order Receipt Electronic System (STORES).

  • Download catalog from STORES upload to AFMIS and forward to customers.

  • Maintains files for accountability IAW Army Records Information Management System (ARMIS).

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in business, management, supply chain, or logistics. One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education.

  • Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.

  • Must have a valid State Driver’s License with no restrictions.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and Common Access Card (CAC).

  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.

  • Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty Installation.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in supply subsistence management.

  • Knowledgeable on Subsistence Total Order Receipt Electronic System (STORES) and the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS)

    SKILLS:

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and subsistence management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.

  • Thorough knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements.

  • Must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated systems utilized.

  • The SSMO Supervisor will have access to deployment information such as dates, units, equipment and locations.

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Must be able to problem solve and perform research using related applicable regulations.

  • Ability to brief ongoing plans and operations.

  • Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of supply and services, maintenance and transportation operations, as well as Army governing regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with subordinates, peers and senior personnel.

    SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct supervisor of approximately 7 personnel.
