Defense Health Agency Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner /Neonatal) in FORT LIBERTY, North Carolina

Overview

This position is located at WOMACK Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, NC.

Womack, we are a fully accredited 110-bed, evidenced-based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Bragg, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Liberty, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks.

Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Liberty which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. This central North Carolina location enjoys seasonably palatable weather year-round. Responsibilities

As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner you will:

  • Develop and implement multidisciplinary therapeutic patient care plans through the analysis of experimental scientific literature and technologies.

  • Orders and interprets normal and abnormal laboratory, radiologic, or diagnostic testing.

  • Perform a systematic physical examination and interprets normal and abnormal findings to establish a comprehensive diagnosis.

  • Design and participate in quality improvement initiatives as a recognized unit leader.

  • Evaluate and develop revisions to therapeutic plans for unstable patients with dynamic changes in physiology and disease states.

  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care by communicating with Pediatric Specialist and Obstetric physicians regarding patient management and establishing care plans for high risk, unstable, or complex patients.

Qualifications

US Citizenship required

Candidate must have a current, active, valid, certificate, unrestricted license, or authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.

Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed.
