About the Position: This position is located at the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistic Readiness Center, Maintenance Division, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Responsibilities Maintain stockage control of materials used to support the repair of equipment within a consolidated maintenance repair shop. Maintain on-hand quantities of authorized organizational level repair parts. Perform semi-annual inventories. Operate a vehicle up to 10,000 pounds and 4,000-to-6,000-pound capacity forklift to load and/or unload items. Identify proper procedures within regulations/manuals when handling hazardous waste and materials. Create, maintain, and update Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS) logs. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a Tools and Parts Attendant (Motor Vehicle Operator/Forklift Operator) without more than normal supervision which includes 1) Maintaining control of tools and parts; 2) Performing inventories of tools and parts along with performing turn-ins as required in accordance with established standards and procedures; and 3) Operating a Motor Vehicle or Forklift as needed in the performance of duties. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the basic eligibility, you must receive at least two points on the screen-out element indicated above and must have an average of two points on all the job elements listed below. Ability To Do The Work Of The position Without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (other than blueprints) Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) Physical Effort: Performs work on hard surfaces. Work requires almost continuous standing, walking, stooping and bending. Frequently lifts and carries items up to 70 pounds and occasionally heavier items normally with handling equipment and/or other workers available to assist. Working Conditions: Work is generally performed in well-lighted, heated and ventilated area which occasionally is drafty. Work is sometimes dirty, dusty and greasy. Is frequently exposed to possibility of cuts, scrapes and bruises. Education This position does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a Logistics Career Field position.
