Army National Guard Units SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32) in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a GS-2005-05/06/07 SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0849000 and is part of the MO Fort Leonard Wood Training Site. APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is a Permanent Excepted Service position. This is a bargaining position. Responsibilities Performs routine and non-routine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops. Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy. Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs. Authorizes procurement and is responsible for funds management. Responsible for limited aspects of storage management. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Enlisted - MOS 25B, 36B, 51C, 88M, 88N, 89A, 89B, 92A, 92F, 92G or 92Y Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; and using computer and automation systems. GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. The specialized experience must also demonstrates your ability to conduct extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; and performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-06 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 9 months of specialized experience, education, or training which demonstrates knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. The specialized experience must also demonstrate your ability to conduct searches for required information; reconstruct records for routine supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; and perform routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-05 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 6 months of specialized experience that demonstrates knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions of one or more areas of a military supply system; and working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced. This position may be filled at the GS-05 or GS-06 trainee grade or the target grade of GS-07. An applicant who is selected at one of the trainee grades will have potential for promotion to the target grade of GS-07 without further competition. Promotion to full operating/journeyman level will be made after qualifications and eligibility requirements have been met and the incumbent is performing at the higher level in a satisfactory manner. Education Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience at the GS-05 grade levels only. If you are using Education to qualify for this position at the GS-05 grade level, you must possess 3 academic years of education in an accredited college or university and at least 90 semester hours of study. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
