Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

About the Position: Serves as Supervisory Logisitics Management Specialist for U.S. Army Field Level Maintenance and logistics system management and/or policies and procedures with the responsibility of integrating the supply, maintenance and transportation functions into a unified logistics program as it relates to supported customers. Responsibilities Analyze organizational logistics readiness posture in terms of equipment status, supply support capabilities, and regulatory policy and guidance necessary to achieve the highest level of U.S. Army tactical, ground and small arms equipment readiness. Seek ways to improve logistics and operating processes in support of TRADOC Training Base Equipment Field Level Maintenance Program (FLM) by performing root cause analysis, trend analysis and predictive analysis. Ensure organization and areas within your scope of responsibilities comply with DA, AMC, TACOM and FLW policies and programs that support FLM such as, Maintenance Management and Shop Operations, GCSS-A and Logistics Automation, Safety, etc. Coordinate with appropriate functional specialists in areas such as maintenance, supply, quality assurance, procurement, other commands, higher headquarters, other military services, contractor representatives, and personnel in support functions. Interact in: supply, class II, III, VII and IX requisitions, repairable management, logistical systems management, maintenance, National Maintenance Program, field and sustainment maintenance programs; supply and equipment management procedures. Use multiple Logistics Tactical Enterprise Logistics Systems (TELS) primarily, such as the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) to compile and analyze a variety of data on current and projected readiness. Serve as a fleet specialist for field level maintenance assisting supported customers with various problems, delays or negative impact requiring resolution, assistance or guidance. Manage collection, validation and timely submission of supported equipment readiness and service data, providing critical fleet and service data routinely with detailed equipment/part status as required. Establish performance standards for personnel, advises personnel of performance objectives, and keeps them informed of their progress in meeting the objectives. Provide guidance, assistance, counsel and instructions to personnel on work related and administrative matters. Integrate all areas of the Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP) and the Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) into your organization's day-to-day operations through routine and random compliance inspections. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Leading US Army Field Level Maintenance (FLM) and logistics operations, resolving issues involving maintenance of organizational equipment; Utilizing Logistics Tactical Enterprise Logistics Systems (TELS), primarily the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) to compile and analyze data on current and projected equipment readiness and Class IX repair parts; Adhering to DA, AMC, TACOM and local policies and programs that support FLM such as, Maintenance Management and Shop Operations, GCSS-A and Logistics Automation, Safety, Environmental/Hazardous Material Management, Physical Security, Drivers Training, AOAP, TMDE, Publications, Property Accountability, and ARIMS; and Serving as a supervisor of supply and maintenance personnel involved in Field Level Maintenance operations in support of multiple commodities of equipment which may include tactical wheeled and tracked vehicles, combat vehicles, construction equipment and small arms weapons. OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
