U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Management Assistant in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Summary About the Position: This position is located in the 43D AG Battalion, Office of the Commander, Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood. Responsibilities Perform mail distribution when required. Read mail that is undesignated and determines proper routing by subject matter content. Train other office personnel as necessary on office functions Serve as the battalion point of contact on all personnel related actions/matters. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: implementing administrative policies and procedures; maintaining forms and publications, perform a variety of personnel actions; coordinating administrative procedural functions; and performing mail distribution when required. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Computer Skills Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
