Army Installation Management Command Maintenance Worker Helper NA-05 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Summary This position is located at Support Services Division. Bi-weekly reviews and lists will be sent to management starting 11 APRIL 2024; additional lists may be sent at management request. Responsibilities Performs a variety of trades and craft duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of facilities. Duties require the use of trade practices associated with carpentry, painting, and laboring work. Replaces faucet washers, light bulbs and fuses. Un-stops sinks and toilets. Hangs electrical fixtures, repairs screens, storm sashes and minor repairs to furniture. May assist in moving furniture or refinishing the appearance. Patches and paints walls. Prepares surfaces for painting by applying sealing compounds and primers, finishes rough edges, smoothing them with file, emery cloth and sandpaper. Assists in the maintenance and repair of grounds. Cuts grass, plants, trims hedges, trees and shrubbery. Dumps trash, waters plants, sweeps walkways, and may be required to shovel snow. If required to operate a motor vehicle, prepares trip tickets, performs driver's daily maintenance and reports any major repairs needed to supervisor. The incumbent may also be required to operate a motor vehicle. May be required to operate a 1/2 Ton up to 1 Ton motor vehicle to and from worksite to transport material and personnel. Carries, lifts, and holds material during operation. Use of ladders and scaffolding. Nails loose boards and replaces window glass. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Experience in performing duties as described. 2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions involving those duties. 3. If incumbent is required to operate a vehicle, must have a valid driver's license.
