Description
If you're a bookkeeper seeking a permanent employment role, Robert Half has an opening with one of their clients. Deadline-oriented and organized accounting professionals should apply to this Bookkeeper opportunity and thrive working in an environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision. As the Bookkeeper, you will supervise the month-end closing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation. Also, the Bookkeeper will handle coding, light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation and perform data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P. This Bookkeeper role will be located in the Bergen County, New Jersey area and will be a permanent position. Please apply right away!
Your responsibilities in this role
Retain a general ledger
Experienced with credit card management and reconciliation
Work on special projects occasionally
Direct monthly accounting close
Sustain Accounts Payable
Draw up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Draw up monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Uphold monthly accounting close
Produce cash flow projections, as needed
Administrate Accounts Receivable
Sort sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Requirements - Excel Formulas experience
Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft Office Suites experience
Strong organization skills
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
- 2+ years of related experience- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Dynamic accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
