Position Summary:

The Paid Search Analyst is responsible for designing and managing West Marine’s online marketing campaigns across Google and Meta and Bing inclusive of mobile, video, display, and keyword search formats. You will be responsible for improving creative, active testing, and using new technologies. Data will drive your decisions in this analytical role overseeing multiple ad campaigns and driving expansion recommendations in tandem with our media agency. This is an entrepreneurial, activity-based environment with the opportunity to drive results.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversight of client digital marketing campaigns, inclusive of development, optimization, and reporting. Thorough QA.

• In tandem with media agency, launch of new campaigns, inclusive of development of ad copy direction, target keyword/product lists, audience targeting criteria and settings.

• Data collection, aggregation, and synthesis for performance reporting, analysis, and anomaly detection. Recognize campaign opportunities and issues to escalate appropriately. Analyze ongoing results to identify campaign trends and key insights to help meet and exceed goals

• Creative & Promotion Management. Support of promotional calendar and key events, creative requests/approvals, reporting/communications on performance.

• Shopping product feed oversight. Validate Product Feed updates, quality, distribution, compliance, hosting, etc. to ensure maximized performance & alignment to industry best practices.

Education, Experience and Skills:

Minimum education required/preferred, area of study: • Bachelor’s degree in related field required

Minimum years of relevant experience required: • 2-3 min years of work experience in online advertising & ecommerce for a national brand or retailer, with a focus on Google Ads & Meta

Additional skills/knowledge required include: • Passion/experience in boating/marine industry highly preferred

• Understand optimization tactics and implementation approaches based on data analysis

• Possesses well developed analytical ability to extract insight from data to plan next steps across multiple marketing channels

• Ability to synthesize and present complex information

• Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced, ever-changing industry and organization
