Zimmerman Advertising Traffic Specialist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

AUTHORITY :

  • · The Traffic Specialist reports directly to the Traffic Director. This position manages efforts within the traffic department to maintain traffic responsibilities and various tasks. The Traffic Specialist is typically assigned Regional and Auto clients. The Traffic Specialist makes decisions within the scope of current policies and procedures. Approval is usually necessary when deviating from routine practices and when necessary, work is reviewed by the Traffic Supervisors.

    OVERALL OBJECTIVE

  • · The Traffic Specialist objectives are to manage group efforts within the traffic department, follow and suggest workflows, manage production materials, and release broadcast materials to television & radio stations while tackling additional tasks required by department. Traffic Specialist are expected to provide guidance to the Traffic Coordinators as well as support the traffic team and agency partners.

    ADMINISTRATIVE

  • · Support traffic team members (particularly the traffic coordinators).

  • · Mentor and train agency employees, as needed.

  • · Advocate for change that facilitates efficiencies and effective communication.

  • · Introduce process improvements to maintain and/or increase efficiencies.

  • · Develop new ideas and communicate these ideas.

  • · Exercise logical judgement when certain matters arise.

  • · Remain flexible when resolving conflicts with minimum supervision.

  • · Support team members to process required tasks.

  • · Review work created by Traffic Coordinators. Not limited to traffic instructions, distribution orders, basic estimates, purchase orders, processing invoices, etc.

  • · Support agency and team members when required. Not limited to traffic inquires, estimating, station discrepancies and new or current workflows/tasks.

    PRODUCTION

  • · Process and monitor production scripts as they apply to assigned accounts.

  • · Remain the liaison between MINDTRIC, agency departments and station partners.

  • · Continually support team members to coordinate timely commercial approval and broadcast material deliveries.

    TRAFFIC

  • · Collaborate with various departments to deploy suitable traffic instructions.

  • · Communicate with media planners, media buyers and station sales reps to properly schedule commercials

  • · Support client activity, as assigned.

  • · Update/Maintain Traffic & Production status in agency job management system, as needed.

  • · Create distribution orders via agency/client selected vendors and workflow.

  • · Manage sister stations to ensure distribution cost efficiencies.

  • · Deliver monthly COOP scripts to stations in a timely manner.

  • · Maintain traffic confirmations for assigned accounts.

  • · Review upcoming media buys for assigned and back up clients.

  • · Provide storyboards, scripts, WIP, and final clearance for Network clients.

    TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Effectively interact with agency members and external vendors.

  • · Guide team members to successful completion of required tasks.

  • · Process Dub Requests.

  • · Respond to station emails.

  • · Maintain station email contacts for traffic schedules as well as COOP delivery.

  • · Review and reply to traffic and media discrepancies.

  • · Report media discrepancies immediately to the Traffic Supervisor.

  • · Learn to be proficient with agency systems but not limited to:

    o WorkFront (project management)

    o D365 (financial)

    o SBMS & DDS (media buys)

    o sTraffic & Mediaocean (traffic)

    o Extreme Reach & Yangaroo (distribution vendor)

    o MediaVu & ThinkTv (network clearance)

  • · Unexpected daily tasks and assigned additional duties as they arise.

  • · Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

  • · Reprioritize and manage additional duties as unexpected tasks arise.
