Robert Half Director of Supply Chain and Manufacturing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Description We are inviting applications for the role of Director of Supply Chain and Manufacturing located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role is pivotal in managing the financial operations within the manufacturing environment, including budgeting, financial and operational analysis, forecasting, and reporting. This role requires collaboration with senior leaders across operations, supply chain, and other critical departments to meet financial targets and support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budget and forecasting process, presenting financial results to senior management, and driving accountability within the manufacturing organization.

• Develop comprehensive gross margin reporting, manage cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements, and oversee inventory stock levels.

• Collaborate with the operations team to enhance profitability and productivity, providing financial guidance on a range of topics, including capital investments and supply chain optimization.

• Leverage financial and manufacturing systems for data accuracy and reporting efficiency, and be involved in the implementation of new technologies and systems.

• Analyze and interpret labor activity, sales data, and demand planning to inform crucial purchase decisions within the business.

• Document essential processes and procedures and lead the charge on the ground with the production, manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and accounting teams.

• Manage financial operations in a manufacturing environment.

• Understand manufacturing processes, cost drivers, supply forecast models, and demand planning.

• Utilize accounting software systems, CRM, Enterprise Resource Planning, and other relevant tools to enhance accounting functions and manage accounts payable.

• Engage in annual budget processes and auditing, and manage supply chain and customer demand planning.

• Oversee supply management and inventory, and apply manufacturing cost accounting techniques.

• Analyze variance and cost variance, and allocate labor appropriately.

• Develop cost models to optimize manufacturing processes. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning

• Proficient in Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in creating and managing Annual Budgets

• Knowledge of Auditing and Budget Processes

• Expertise in Supply Chain Management and Customer Demand Planning

• Strong understanding of Supply Management and Supply Inventory

• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Ability to Analyze Variance and understand Cost Variance

• Experience in Labor allocation and creating Cost Models

• High level of responsibility, leadership, and management skills

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Must have a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
