With the level of company change, and transformation aligned to the company’s strategy, Microsoft Digital is looking for individuals who have the business and technical acumen to help accelerate the company’s transformation through their skills, capabilities and passion for driving change; their ability to understand how technology enables others; and their capacity for dealing with ambiguity. This Area Capability Lead (ACL) role provides you with the ability to work across Geographic and Business Leadership, tap into your depth and breadth of business acumen, leverage your strengths in being a trusted advisor, as well as exercise your change management skillset. You’ll need to be competent in collaborating, adapting, driving results, as well as obsessing over our customers, often in ambiguous situations and environments.

The ACL in Latin America leads the local realization of Microsoft Digital's commitment to power, protect and transform the company, and serves as market advocate through engagement with business leaders inside and outside the company. This role is the IT Business Partner to local leadership, driving change and transformation on behalf of the company’s strategy as well as being the key point of contact for Microsoft businesses in Latam regarding envisioning, delivery and adoption of digital employee experiences. You will enable broader change by effectively identifying key IT and business capability needs that tie to regional business strategy and environment, and work with peers across the world to prioritize delivery of experiences which address critical requirements. As well, you will also enable local change by influencing, landing and helping remove local barriers to adoption of global standard business and IT capabilities across Latin America. You will work in close partnership with Latam’s local segment/business group and regional leadership, business unit Directors, as well as technical and program resources. As an example, you will work with stakeholders to define, approve, and land a corporate and field aligned adoption plan for a defined set of digital experiences, understand, prioritize, and drive to conclusion key adoption barriers, and partner closely with other parts of Microsoft Digital, and Functional Area leaders to ensure the plan lands.

You will also develop and leverage a broad and deep level of business and technical acumen. Having this level of knowledge and context is critical to your success and ability to be the primary Digital employee experience orchestrator across Latam.

Lastly, as a result of your business understanding of particular regions and business segments within your geography, deep connected and trusted relationships, and close partnership with regional IT peers, you will proactively identify the changing nature of local business and IT needs as well as the seams needed between business and IT capabilities. Translating that distinctive knowledge into actionable insights and recommendations for Microsoft Digital and the engineering groups powering Microsoft technology, and seeing those through to resolution will be key to realizing the impact for this distinct capability of the Area Capability Lead role.

  • Shape roadmap and orchestrate delivery of prioritized experiences which exceed employee satisfaction benchmarks.

  • Drive local leadership sponsorship of delivery and evolution of digital experiences.

  • Define, deliver, and drive clear progress against user feedback mechanisms and contribute to a prioritized summary of multi-Area insights and actions for resolution from the feedback mechanisms through proactive collaboration.

  • Be the Digital business partner for the Area, representing the entire Microsoft Digital portfolio/roadmap across applications, data, infrastructure, Client, and other IT key initiatives.

  • Deliver fact based and prioritized insights in a manner that enables planning, impact reporting, and resolution to landing and adoption barriers.

  • Contribute to a fact based, agreed and validated Global Priority List which demonstrably changes priorities of delivery groups; and contribute to a fact based and agreed upon Local Priority List.

Protect and Innovate

  • Drive regional leadership team sponsorship and ongoing involvement with the landing of the entire Digital portfolio across applications, data, infrastructure, Client, and other IT key initiatives.

  • Engage with external peers to represent Microsoft’s digital transformation, and learn the transformation experiences of others.

  • 100% of planned business and IT capabilities landed effectively with clear evidence of local decision maker or capability manager buy-in and positive partnership through peer feedback.

Enable the Adoption of the IT Portfolio Across Subsidiaries

  • Leverage local leadership engagement and direct end user channels of interaction and communication within each geography to drive internal consumption and / or usage of priority applications, products or infrastructure

  • Drive effective escalation management in partnership with all IT teams for business critical applications at key times of the

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years' minimum experience in Business Consulting, Change Management, Capability Management, Sales, Marketing, Services, Operations , or other professional services roles

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, Sales, Consulting, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Spanish/Portuguese a plus

  • Executive presence and awareness at a high proficiency level, with demonstrated ability to drive transformation

  • Must have proven ability to manage work and teams across multiple time zones and cultures.

  • Process skills at least at a medium proficiency level

  • Change management skills at a high proficiency level

  • Business analysis skills at a medium proficiency level

  • Business architecture skills at a basic proficiency level

  • Impact & influence skills at a high proficiency level

  • Executive maturity and presence with proven capabilities in being a trusted advisor to key stakeholders

  • Understanding of at least one of Microsoft’s customer segment business models (Enterprise Commercial, SMC, Services, OCP, etc.): business model, role, process, tool, and information perspectives.

  • Demonstrated experience working with and/or in business or IT leadership teams to drive enablement of new capabilities and simplification of existing processes or tools

  • Proven ability to influence and communicate at senior business and IT levels.

  • Strong teaming background, interpersonal skills, and communication skills

  • Relevant third level qualifications. Masters preferred.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed
